Can Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs help with my awful legs?

I was blessed (cursed) with a lot of hair. I mean a lot. I have around four times the amount of hair on my head than most women, and it's naturally dark brown. The rest of my body hair, unfortunately, is black as night, wiry and coarse. I have been asked - when they've seen my forearms - if I shave my arms, as the hair is blunt, wiry and black. Hell, it even looks like I've shaved them, but I'm telling the truth when I say that is 100% not true.
But I'm not here to talk about my arms. Today, it's my legs. I have pale white skin and a thick, black forest of hair growing on them. I'm not even kidding. I have my legs (and forearms) waxed every month, trying to tackle the deep, dark jungle growing on my body (Hey, did I just see a monkey?!?). I suffer from ingrown hairs regularly, which leaves painful red lumps, sometimes pustules, which takes weeks to subside and fade away.
My other problem - as well as the ones stated above - is that I also have black hair follicles, which show after I have shaved or waxed, leaving me with tiny black spots, or "strawberry legs" as I've heard them called, which is most unpleasant to see. Also the hair on my body grows back fast. If I shave my legs, they're stubbly again within 4/5hrs. So not cool, body. So not cool.
I'm going to Ibiza in a week. I've bought dresses to wear but with redness, bumps, minor scarring and black hair follicles showing? I'd never leave the apartment! And I don't want to wear trousers in 25-30 degree heat!
So here's where these babies come in.
I bought them in the vain hope that they'd at least help with my endless list of problems.
Above; left leg, bare, waxed (14hrs ago). Visible scarring, redness and black hair follicles.
Above; left leg after applying Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Medium. Hair follicles still showing (picture not accurately showing this). Scarring and redness slightly less noticeable.
Above; right leg, bare, waxed (14hrs ago). Scarring, redness, discolouration and black hair follicles showing.
Above; right leg with Sally Hansen Aorbrush Legs in Tan. Hair follicles still visible, discolouration disguised, redness and scarring slightly less noticeable.
From around six feet away, my legs look ok, but I can still see all the visible imperfections. The Airbrush Legs gives my legs a more uniform colour, which definitely help their poor appearance, but they don't hide anything or make my legs look airbrushed.
I'll definitely be taking these to Ibiza with me, as they do help make my legs look better from a distance, and after all, who - other than my hubby and my sister - is going to be close enough to see my legs?
If I wasn't a poor working class gal I'd try laser or electrolysis, but I think my next aim is for Thanaka powder and Kusuma oil mixed together (I've heard wonderful stories about their permanent hair removal powers). Wish me luck! Xx

Bourjois little round pot cream blush 03

So I bought another cream blush. I know, there's something wrong with me. But hey, whaddya gonna do?!?
Yes, this one. I have absolutely no idea what the shade is called, but who cares when you have a model that looks similar to the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe on the top, right?
I love these little round pots, they're awesome, coming with their very own mirror in the lid.
A dusky pink, great for pale/light skin tones...
It blends out quite sheerly, so if you have light-medium skin you'll want to blend less for it to stand out a bit more on your cheeks.
It lasts around 4-6hrs without MoM on my oily/combination skin but with MoM it lasts 12. It looks and feels beautiful on the skin, and is perfect for every season.

Bourjois Cream Blush 02 Healthy Glow

I've wanted to get my hands on another of Bourjois' beautiful cream blushers ever since I got my grubby little paws on their Blush Exclusif last year.
So I went ahead and did just that! I had to go on the colour of the pot, as the tester in store had dried up so hard that it had cracked into about six pieces and fallen apart.
It's a beautiful peachy colour, absolutely perfect for spring and summer. Also if you have light to medium skin, this will be a fantastic, all year round light flush.
It swatches beautifully, blends easily into the powdery finish and lasts on my cheeks for a full 12hrs, as long as my t-zone has been primed with Milk of Magnesia first, otherwise the oil around my nose wears away the colour within about 4-6 hours.
For me this is a definite must-have colour, perfect for all year round naturally flushed cheeks.

Bourjois Effet 3D Gloss in Or Fééric

Lip gloss. My best makeup buddy since... Well, since I can remember! The sheerness, the glossy shine, the huge selection of shades... You can't go wrong with a good lipgloss, that's all I'm saying.
So I saw this little beauty in store, tested it out and knew, right then and there, that this had to join my makeup collection.
I've been in love with the Bourjois Effet 3D lip glosses for years, they really make my lips look fuller and they smell and feel divine.
What I love most about this gloss is that not only is it very sheer, the tiny flecks of gold give this gloss a very summery finish.
Yay! A creepy close up of my lips...
This is perfect for an every day natural look (the look I went for today), great to layer over lipstick for more drama and sparkle or on it's own when you've got a heavy, smokey eye going on.
Versatile, moisturising and oh-so-pretty, this will definitely be my go-to gloss for the summer months!

Lovely weekend...

So this weekend has been amazing except for today. Some selfish, arrogant butthead and his missus parked across two parking spaces. When I stood there tutting in disapproval the woman came over and had a go at me. I calmly told her that she was being selfish, parking across two spaces like that. She countered my argument, telling me huffily that they did park normally once upon a time, then their previous BMW got dinged whilst it was parked, costing them £500 to repair it, & after that they (became selfish, arrogant assholes and) never parked "normally" again. I told her that I owned a sports car (a Mazda sport - it's practically the same thing :P) and that it'd been scraped and cost a small fortune to repair but it never stopped me from parking normally. She asked me why and I told her because I had faith that people wouldn't do it again. She rudely replied that she had none. I laughed and shook my head and said it was selfish and walked away.
So I've been stewing on this all day, winding myself up over this woman's arrogance (and her absent husband/partner, who left his missus to defend the car and his honour), and I decided enough was enough.
I actually had a marvellous time with my family and friends this weekend, so I thought I'd put a few pics up to make myself feel better.
These are just a few of the pictures I've taken over the weekend. I've had to leave out pictures of my family because they like to stay private, which is a shame as I'd love to share them with you.
The sun was hiding behind clouds a lot, then the clouds parted and the sun shone hard. My poor hubster got caught and his arms are now red...
His sunburned arms vs my normal arm lol! I did catch a tiny bit of sun, my chest is a little pink but only about 3/4 inches square. I'm a bit gutted as I normally use SPF sun cream but I've learned my lesson!
Anyway, for the time being this is Xen, over and out! xx

MAC Lip Liner in Cherry

Darlings! I come to you with another quick blog, to share my new-found love! A beautiful red lip pencil by MAC in the shade Cherry...
This is a creamy, blue-based red lip liner that is, in my opinion, the perfect partner in crime with Ruby Woo. It looks fabulous on so many skin tones, so even if you're a dark-skinned beauty, just remember, even Rihanna wears cool toned reds on her lips!

MAC lip liner in What A Blast!

So I may have mentioned that I used MAC's ProLongwear lip liner/pencil in What a Blast in my last lipstick post (Mac Dangerous) but I haven't shown it to you! So, without further ado...
It's a very bright orange-coral-red. I use it for MAC's Dangerous and Lady Danger. The formula isn't too creamy, yet not too dry, and when it sets, it ain't budging unless you use a makeup wipe/remover. A definite must have for me. Gotta love ProLongwear xx
