Review: MeNow Generation 2 long lasting lipgloss Shade "28"

So I don't know how many people have heard of these lip glosses, but I saw one on aliexpress.com and I decided to give it a try. It is in shade 28, as they don't have names, but this one is red...
It kind of reminds me of a test tube...
It's really quite a long tube with plenty of product inside. It has a long, slender handle with a doe foot applicator.
It applies like a smooth gloss, but sets into a completely matte, hard wearing colour.
I applied this at 11am, ate a beef curry, drank two cups of tea and ate some chocolate and some mini cheddars and plenty of chatting with my hubby and little sister. It lasted a full 8 hours, with hardly any colour rubbing off...
This lipgloss is really longwearing. The above picture was taken at 7pm. As you can see, hardly anything has rubbed away and I'm sure that it would have gone through another meal and a good 3, possibly 4 hours before it would have rubbed off much more - but I grew tired of wearing it and took it off.

This stuff does not come away easily using normal facial wipes (not that I use them) or micellar water and the such - using an oil based makeup remover is kind of a must.

For around $1.50 (around 99p for us in the UK) and free shipping, you really can't go wrong, and I've heard that these are a dupe for the Lime Crime Velvetine lip glosses but for a fraction of the price.
The negatives? They come from China, so they're almost certainly not animal cruelty free :(
Are they worth it? You decide! x

MAC lip liner in What A Blast!

So I may have mentioned that I used MAC's ProLongwear lip liner/pencil in What a Blast in my last lipstick post (Mac Dangerous) but I haven't shown it to you! So, without further ado...
It's a very bright orange-coral-red. I use it for MAC's Dangerous and Lady Danger. The formula isn't too creamy, yet not too dry, and when it sets, it ain't budging unless you use a makeup wipe/remover. A definite must have for me. Gotta love ProLongwear xx

MAC Dangerous Lipstick

Yes, yes, I know, I've already done blogs on red lipsticks, but it is MAC after all! How could I pass up this incredible orange based lipstick?
Ok, so it looks a little darker in this pic than in real life, but it is amazing...
This is what it looks like on my lips and how it looks against my fakely-tanned, light-medium complexion (NC25/NC30). I paired it with a ProLongwear pencil by MAC called 'What a Blast'.
So retro, so matte! This is a super easy go-to lip colour, especially if you're in a rush - it takes you from Mehhh to Fab in two minutes flat. The power of red lipstick!
This is a great lipstick for anyone loving orange based, matte red colours that doesn't mind being noticed.
Red-dy to get Dangerous?

Sensationail Silver Glitter

Hello my darlings, no lengthy review today, just a quick photo of what SensatioNail Silver Glitter (DIY gel manicure similar to Shellac but cured with LED lights, not UV) looks like on my nails. I wore this on my weakest fingernail and it didn't lift, chip or peel off for 3 weeks. So now I've done all my nails! Who says we can't wear glitter every day???
Big love xxx

Review: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet 03 Hot Pepper

You know I'm a huge fan of red lips. It's a lip colour that never seems to go out of fashion, and I hope it never does, so when I stumbled across this little beauty, I knew I had to have it.
It's kind of a small tube, around the length of my thumb, but I really like how sturdy it feels.
A quick swatch on the back of my hand... I love this colour, it's an orange-based red, and because I wear fake tan, this colour is best suited to me (without fake tan I need blue-based reds).
The application is easy enough, and it doesn't set so fast that you don't have time to play around with it. But once it is dry, it goes beautifully matte without drying out my lips. This is a big thing for a matte lip colour. Every matte lipstick/lip colour I've ever tried has made me go running for my lip balm, with ill-made promises never to do it again.

This lipstick states it has "light texture, extreme comfort and 24hr hold".
I love putting these things to the test - let's do this!
Above: my lips after 6hrs. I'd had two cups of tea and a huge Sunday roast. It actually looked better from a distance (my camera was around 4-5 inches from my lips) and still felt comfortable.
Above: my lips after almost 8hrs. It definitely wore away on the insides of my lips and at that point I decided to take it off with an oil-based makeup remover.

Light texture: Most definitely.
Extreme comfort: It wore comfortably for a long period of time without drying out my lips (now that is comfort to me).
24hr hold: That's always a very bold claim, but for it to hold up through eating and drinking and still look pretty darn good, well, let's just say I'm pretty impressed.
